images_confirmedsharon_lanceSharon Lance is a Past President of Colorado Trout Unlimited with over 8,500 members statewide. She organized the largest Trout Unlimited chapter project ever taken on – the Cheesman Canyon Restoration Project and raised over $300,000. This was a six year project done primarily by volunteers in the only roadless canyon in the state.

She has been fly fishing for 12 years and she averages 50 to 70 days of fishing per year.

She and her partner, Bob Churchill, won the Super Fly in Gunnison in 2001.

She has appeared on ESPN for the Trout Unlimited television series.

Sharon has also been on the cover of Fly Rod & Reel and Southwest Flyfishing magazines.

She is also featured in a book entitled, the Colorado Outdoor Lover's Guide, which has an article about women and fly fishing.

Sharon recently was one of four national finalists for the 2004 Budweiser Conservationist of the Year award. She was chosen as Ford Motor Co. RiverKeeper in March, 2005 in Fly Rod & Reel magazine.
